I have three public libraries within a 10 mile radius and used two of those (one American, one British) to stock up on books to read over the extended holiday week and into the new year. Here's my haul:

Already had Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen

From the town library:

Persuasion by Jane Austen

Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen

From the library on base:

In-N-Out Burger: A Behind the Counter Look at the Fast Food Chain That Breaks All the Rules by Stacy Perman. Because I am homesick for California and for non-fiction challenge.

Band of Sisters: American Women at War in Iraq by Kirsten Holmstedt. One of the books on my women in the military challenge reading list.

Methland: The Death and Life of an American Small Town by Nick Reding. Non-fiction challenge book.

Jane Austen by Marghanta Laski. Literary biography of Austen.

When Janey Comes Marching Home: Portraits of Women Combat Veterans by Laura Browder and Sascha Pflaeging. One of the books on the women in military challenge reading list.

I hope you all have a safe and happy end to 2015 and an equally safe and happy beginning to 2016. I am logging off until after the New Year holiday weekend.
