Review: Banshee Charmer by Tiffany Allee

Banshee Charmer - Tiffany Allee

So, I think I just found a new paranormal romance series to replace the Midnight Breed series. I can't believe a great novella was a freebie (NOOK store), but I will be sure to buy the rest of the series. This is the first book in the From the Files of the Otherworlder Enforcement Agency series.

I really liked the world building. Other Worlders (werewolves, sucubi, incubi, vampires, banshees, goblins - the whole assortment) are out in the open and living amongst us. The heroine, Kiera, is a half-blood banshee. The hero, Aiden, is an incubi. The chemistry is freaking off the charts, but the plot doesn't take a back seat to the (great) sex scenes. I enjoyed the mash up of a police procedural with the paranormal romance. The secondary characters (human and OW) were central to the world building and the story. I look forward to more happy hours reading this series. I did take one star off because the story centered on a serial killer, and I am so done with serial killers.

P.S. The covers are so very nice on the eyes.
