Fills in Genre: Horror square
This was a fun story. I really loved the MC, Tana, as she was a normal girl with a good heart and a fighter without having to be "the chosen one." The world building was fantastic and the supporting characters were little commentaries on society (both present day and in the future). Gavril was full of surprises; I was glad to read that he was more of Tana's partner that romantic interest (until that last chapter screwed it up). Overall, I was happy to read a real horror book that kept vampires as the monsters they are supposed to be and not sparkly horny sex machines.
