And this novella gives me my first bingo!

1. Taken in Death (...In Death #37.5) from the anthology Mirror, Mirror

Fills in Locked Room Mystery Square

What a creepy, fucked up retelling of Hansel and Gretel. I loved every page of it. The story was focused mostly on finding the kids and the killer, a thoroughly police procedural; however, it was the murder of the kids' nanny that started and ended the story. The ending with Roarke and Eve hugging the kids made me tear up; I still don't think they will be parents of their own children, but at least Eve didn't act like an ass when the kids were hugging her. 5 stars.
