Secrets in Death - J.D. Robb

This was a decent read in terms of plotting, placing, and characterization. None of the In Death gang was annoying this time around, although I am tired of Eve's self-righteous need to solve every murder that might cross her path, even unsolved crimes from 20 years ago that have no bearing on the current investigation or even her jurisdiction/time in the police force. And thankfully, we are not dealing with another serial killer. We get a few of the regular friends, mostly Nadine.

However, the writing was a bit choppy and not as smooth as previous books. Lots of. Really short sentences. That. Didn't need. To be written. That. Way.

Better than the more recent books, not as good as the older books in the series.
