I debated about rating this book 2 or 2.5 stars. It was an okay read, but not something I want to continue reading about due to one character. Meg, Annabelle, and Ruby are sisters living with their father and working on their farm in East Texas. Ruby is being expelled from school one month before graduation because she is an oversexed dumbass and decided to sell her "kisses" for nickels. Meg and Annabelle are just so done with Ruby, and by the end of the story I was too. Ruby sucked as a character.
Their father takes the odd bounty hunter job to pay for their mortgage, but he ends up badly injured and dies at home after one such job. It is up to the sisters to finish paying the mortgage, but each gets a job she sucks at or gets screwed over on. So in the end, they continue their dad's business, with Annabelle staying on the farm to do the books and take care of the animals and crops.
I can't continue this series because Ruby sucks so much.
