I am not much of a YA reader, but the paranormal angle caught my attention. Also, I bought the book at an airport bookstore because I had nothing else to read and wasn't about to buy a gossipy celebrity tabloid or a fashion magazine. I had a long flight back. This book hit the spot and I finished it before my plane hit the runway of my destination airport. The paranormal element was woven into the storyline rather than being a flashing neon light and the female MC was pretty down to earth (no Mary Sue). The paranormal element was also something new (to me anyway): angels turning into vampires, and vampires vs. vampires. It was a fun romp with NYC's elite. 3.5/5 stars.
